About the position

The Creative Director at Benco Dental is a strategic and conceptual leader responsible for driving the company's brand identity and marketing initiatives. This role involves overseeing a team of multimedia designers and writers to develop multi-channel marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and emotional connection with audiences. The Creative Director will serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all creative content aligns with the company's goals and resonates with target audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the brand ambassador, both internally and externally.
  • Help define actionable customer insights and establish clear objectives for brand positioning and communication.
  • Uphold and evangelize brand strategy to drive effective development of creative content and brand promotion across all channels and markets.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and demand generation leaders to align and supervise the Creative Studio to deliver seamless, on-time, and on-budget content.
  • Monitor and evaluate brand performance and key metrics to improve brand performance across all marketing channels.
  • Oversee the implementation of a consistent approach to the new Benco brand identity across all marketing materials.
  • Lead the team in maintaining consistent creative quality and managing brand standards and style guides.
  • Hire, manage, and lead the evolution of the Creative Studio team, including performance reviews and workflow management.
  • Guide the team in improving its quality and capabilities across various creative disciplines.
  • Develop and cultivate strong, cost-effective external agency and freelance relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communication, Graphic Design or closely related field, or significant relevant experience.
  • Strong and diverse portfolio displaying design and branding experience across many channels.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior creative leadership role.
  • 7+ years of brand strategy or brand management experience.
  • 10+ years as an art director, designer or copywriter with agency and/or in-house experience.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Meticulous with solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to incorporate feedback and take/give directions well.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automation and AI in creative processes.
  • Familiarity with vendor/agency management.
