About the position

The Creative Director (Art) at Razorfish is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the creative direction of campaigns and content across digital platforms, including .Com and social channels. This position involves inspiring and managing creative teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations, and collaborating with account management to enhance client satisfaction. The role also includes developing creative briefs, mentoring staff, and participating in new business pitches to drive agency growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the campaign and content creative for .Com and Social channels.
  • Assign teams and inspire them to produce exceptional concepts and final work.
  • Work closely with account management to ensure client satisfaction with creative work.
  • Develop and review creative briefs that provide strategic insights and inspiration.
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients' marketing challenges and propose creative solutions.
  • Train new employees on responsibilities and agency procedures.
  • Plan and pursue strategic growth of agency billings and participate in new business pitches.
  • Evaluate creative concepts, copy, and art, providing direction prior to review by account management.
  • Set high creative standards for work that is recognized as on strategy and unique.
  • Lead creative efforts on new business assignments as needed.
  • Ensure creative presentations meet professional standards.
  • Manage workload for assigned business to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Communicate creative concepts and strategies effectively to clients and internal teams.
  • Get hands-on in designing comps, storyboards, and final deliverables.
  • Brainstorm and develop campaigns while managing multiple projects.
  • Ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Facilitate ideation, writing, and execution of original creative concepts.
  • Extend client relationships and explore new value delivery methods.
  • Present and review creative work with management and planning leads.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, collaborating with in-house and third-party resources.
  • Provide leadership and professional development to department staff.
  • Mentor and train team members, write performance reviews, and allocate work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a creative role within an agency or equivalent.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital campaign work across social, mobile, and web.
  • Proven conceptual and hands-on creative skills.
  • Experience in the tech industry is required.
  • Solid knowledge of the creative development process and ability to provide guidance.
  • Excellent presentation and people-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational experience.
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills.
