About the position

As the Creative Director at Liquid Sunshine, the in-house creative marketing agency for Keurig Dr. Pepper (KDP), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative vision and direction for KDP's extensive portfolio of 125 leading beverage brands. Your primary responsibility will be to create culture-driving, business-building campaigns that resonate with consumers across various platforms, including mass broadcast film, web video, targeted social media, influencer campaigns, and retail sponsorship programs. You will lead and inspire a talented team of creatives, guiding them in their work while fostering an environment that prioritizes trust, well-being, and innovation. In this role, you will partner closely with strategy teams on both small and large projects, leveraging your expertise in brand design, copy, art, and digital technology to bring ideas to life. You will oversee the entire creative process, from concept to execution, collaborating with producers, project managers, and other internal and external partners to ensure that all deliverables meet marketing goals and challenges effectively. Your ability to conduct brainstorming sessions and maintain strategic thinking will be crucial in developing innovative and actionable initiatives that are fiscally responsible. As a Creative Director, you will also be responsible for reviewing and approving art and copy developed by your team, ensuring that the final concepts are presented effectively and obtain necessary approvals. You will proactively identify opportunities to incorporate the latest trends in pop culture and creativity into your work, driving high performance results by fostering a culture of trust and accountability within your team. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing a safe environment where team members feel motivated, heard, and aligned with clear expectations, ultimately contributing to the overall success of KDP's iconic brands.

Responsibilities

  • Create culture-driving, business-building big brand work from mass broadcast film and web video, to targeted social and influencer campaigns, to attention-getting activation, and retail sponsorship programs
  • Lead and review the work of the creative teams; guiding and inspiring the teams and developing their talents
  • Partner with strategy on both small and large projects, harnessing brand design, copy, art, and digital technology
  • See your ideas through from concept to execution, working with producers, project managers and other internal and external partners to execute with brilliance
  • Collaborate with the Brand Design group to bring to life ideas in print, OOH, digital, retail, and social as needed
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address marketing goals and challenges effectively
  • Oversee the presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables
  • Proactively identify opportunities to tap into or incorporate the latest trends in pop culture, creativity, executional approaches & techniques, and broader inspirations, innovations and interruptions
  • Ensure high performance results of your team by fostering a culture of trust and wellbeing that prioritizes the team and values employee contributions
  • Drive a shared vision with clear goals and accountability, supported by regular conversations to maximize talent

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience as a creative (Copywriter, Art Director, ACD) at ad agency, brand, publisher, or social media platform with an award winning portfolio.
  • A well-grounded brand advocate with strategic understanding and creative leadership of a brand
  • Has a strong portfolio of work with recognizable campaigns and ideas you wish you'd done yourself
  • Instinctively knows what good looks like - and passionately talks about it
  • A safe pair of hands that can deliver on-brand creativity first time and can direct themselves accordingly
  • Represents the agency as the go to person for all art direction and has a great eye for design and aesthetics, and is hugely passionate about art direction and design craft of our industry
  • Can bring fresh, inspirational thinking to any brand
  • Brand, sector, and media specialties
  • Has won meaningful awards and can write case studies for awards
  • Can use seminal work to direct and inspire
  • Regular contributor to agency knowledge (sparking ideas)
