About the position

The Creative Lead for Digital Acquisition at Remitly will spearhead the development of creative solutions for various digital marketing channels, focusing on performance-driven campaigns. This role involves leading a team of designers and copywriters, collaborating with other creative leads, and ensuring that all creative outputs align with brand standards and marketing objectives. The position requires a strong understanding of digital marketing best practices and a passion for storytelling and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of creative designers and copywriters focused on digital acquisition channels within Marketing.
  • Partner with other Creative Leads to establish creative strategies and ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Ensure all creative is insight-driven, on brand, and focused on testing and optimization.
  • Balance guiding your team's creative output with hands-on design and writing work.
  • Establish and evolve creative standards and practices for the Marketing team.
  • Collaborate with marketers and project management to ensure actionable and clear briefs.
  • Present work to internal stakeholders with sound reasoning and data to support creative decisions.
  • Work with marketers throughout the creative process to meet objectives and goals.
  • Manage independently while communicating context and expectations to the team.
  • Create growth opportunities for direct reports and set clear expectations for team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an advertising agency and/or in-house marketing team.
  • Consumer brand experience is essential; digital brand experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in mobile-first digital marketing best practices.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and manage workload without strict guidance.
  • Effective partnership skills with peers, managers, and executives.
  • Strong instinct for balancing brand and performance goals.
  • Ability to articulate and teach creative approaches and thinking.
  • Understanding of A/B testing and validation processes.
  • Passion for people, communication, marketing, and storytelling.
