About the position

The Creative Lead, Performance Marketing at Dow Jones is responsible for spearheading high-impact creative development across various media channels for B2C brands, including The Wall Street Journal. This role involves leading a small team, driving performance-oriented campaigns, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance brand engagement and subscription growth. The position requires a strategic vision for creative marketing, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lower Funnel Creative Strategy by spearheading the internal performance marketing creative function.
  • Create quarterly roadmaps for performance marketing creative strategy for all B2C brands.
  • Write creative briefs and liaise with performance marketing and creative partners.
  • Develop efficient processes and implement new technologies for high-performing campaigns.
  • Present creative strategies and campaign performance reviews to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and meaningful use of AI tools.
  • Develop performance-focused creative strategies aligned with product value propositions.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all media channels.
  • Act as a guardian of Dow Jones B2C brands, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor project management and design professionals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of creative strategy experience, including 5 years leading performance marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of direct reports.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact creative campaigns with measurable ROI.
  • Deep understanding of the marketing funnel and audience segmentation.
  • Experience developing integrated roadmaps that align creative strategy with audience.
  • Experience implementing new technologies in media channels.
  • Creative vision for optimizing concepts while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Experience writing creative briefs and adapting marketing copy.
  • Expertise in developing processes for effective creative production.
  • Experience presenting strategic concepts to senior leadership.
