The Creative Manager and Project Director will operate under the general direction of the President and designated leaders, focusing on the effective management of all advertising and social media initiatives for The Market Basket and its subsidiaries. This role is pivotal in overseeing the brand's public relations and enhancing its market presence through various platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing social media accounts, including Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Wedding Wire, The Knot, Nextdoor, and traditional media such as newspapers, magazines, and billboards. The role requires the creation of engaging visual content, including photos and videos, to promote products and foster a positive brand image. Keeping abreast of current market trends and social media developments is essential for success in this position. In addition to managing social media, the Creative Manager will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, addressing any issues that arise on these platforms in accordance with company protocols. The role also involves strategic budget management to maximize advertising effectiveness and sales growth. The candidate will assist in the development and management of Market Basket's online shopping platforms, ensuring seamless integration with various departments such as the Basket Department and Catering. Strong project management skills are necessary to oversee these initiatives effectively. Training and development of Market Basket staff on new projects will be a key responsibility, including the creation of training documents and policies that support both employee and company success. The Creative Manager will also play a role in catering planning, organizing event menus, and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction while maximizing profitability. Overall, this position is integral to driving creative marketing initiatives, enhancing customer engagement, and supporting the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all social media and advertising accounts under The Market Basket brand.
  • Create attractive photos and videos of products to enhance brand visibility and sales.
  • Encourage exceptional customer service skills through direct demonstration and supervision of social media outlets.
  • Handle customer service-related issues promptly while adhering to company protocols.
  • Effectively manage a set advertising budget to increase sales and brand presence.
  • Assist in the development and management of Market Basket's online shopping presence.
  • Demonstrate exemplary management skills in time management, interpersonal communications, and project management.
  • Train Market Basket staff on newly implemented projects and develop training documents.
  • Assist in catering planning and organizing event menus, floorplans, and logistics.
  • Perform any other tasks as required by the President or business needs.

Requirements

  • 1 year of marketing experience (preferred).
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven team management and project management abilities.
