About the position

Warner Bros. Discovery is offering multiple Creative Marketing internship opportunities located in the LA area for Summer 2025. Interns will be expected to join the office regularly based on their managers' schedules. The internships include roles such as Max and Magnolia Marketing Intern, Theatrical Digital Marketing Intern, WB Global Media Intern, and Theatrical Global Brand Partnerships Intern. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience in marketing for original series across various platforms, including Max, Magnolia, and discovery+.

Responsibilities

  • Assist marketing team with administrative tasks, strategy development, and creative development for original series.
  • Assist team in developing briefs to inform the overall campaign architecture.
  • Work closely with social teams to develop social campaign strategies.
  • Help manage campaign schedules to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Write script and/or screening coverage.
  • Assist with taking, compiling, and distributing creative notes.
  • Contribute creative feedback on development and finishing of creative assets.
  • Help build decks to brief agencies and teams.
  • Help track location and distribution of creative assets.
  • Review lists of influencers from social agencies to attend premieres and influencer trips.
  • Assist with premiere planning logistics and provide on-the-ground support at events if needed.
  • Conduct social media campaign comparison reporting.
  • Manage social channel community if needed.
  • Brainstorm on marketing campaigns and other projects.
  • Assist with preparation of comprehensive and creative media plan decks for presentation to management, film partners, and filmmakers.
  • Assist media department with preparation of regular media briefs and updates.
  • Participate in strategic brainstorm/ideation sessions during the initial stages of planning.
  • Perform competitive research and assist with special film projects as needed.
  • Assist with creative and asset management, and creative rotation.
  • Engage in new partner ideation and vetting.
  • Attend regular meetings and take notes.
  • Join pitch meetings to evaluate target brands for outreach.
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative pitches.
  • Develop pitch decks for assigned outreach.
  • Assist in execution of partnership campaigns for select film titles.
  • Compile reports based on research and previous campaigns to help measure success and strategize for future collaborations.
  • Work with various WB marketing teams to amplify partner campaigns.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the social media landscape and basic Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of Google suite applications, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, X, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Awareness of the latest social media trends and creators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Comfortable with numbers and media math.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual.
  • Experience in advertising, marketing, and/or media preferred.
  • Experience related to the entertainment industry (theatrical/streaming) preferred.
  • Some experience in social media and campaign measurement is a plus.
  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required).
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older).
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA).

  • Experience with Photoshop is a plus.
