About the position

The Creative Services Director at WMBF-TV is responsible for enhancing the station's brand and audience engagement across all platforms. This role requires a blend of creative vision and leadership, focusing on strategic marketing initiatives, team management, and hands-on production skills. The ideal candidate will be an expert in visual storytelling and digital marketing, capable of executing comprehensive marketing plans to promote the station effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute WMBF's annual strategic marketing plan, including brand promotion and advertising campaigns for broadcast, digital, and live events.
  • Manage the station's Lifestyle Show brand.
  • Implement marketing strategies and brand management to grow audience engagement across all screens.
  • Lead a team of creative professionals in producing high-quality content.
  • Showcase exceptional video production skills, including writing, directing, cinematography, editing, and motion graphic design.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Coordinate the development of compelling campaigns for local and regional sales clients.
  • Manage budgeting for all aspects of the creative services team.
  • Work closely with the General Manager, News Director, and Director of Sales.
  • Act as a working manager, capable of shooting and editing commercials and station promos from pre-production to post-production.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience as a creative director preferred.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and training skills in a television station marketing environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Expertise in visual storytelling with strong skills in writing, cinematography, and Adobe Creative Suite editing programs.
  • Hands-on production experience with knowledge of digital and social media marketing trends and platforms.
  • Graphic artistic skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
