About the position

The Creative Services Director is responsible for overseeing a multi-market regional team of content creators and experts, focusing on enhancing branding and engagement for both internal and external clients. This role emphasizes team development through training and promotes a culture of collaboration and innovation while ensuring efficient workflow execution.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement a digital-focused content engagement strategy for multi-platform, multi-stream, and local market use.
  • Lead the creation of branding content and lifestyle programming, ensuring alignment with community and organizational objectives.
  • Write, develop, and produce special projects, including multi-market and big-picture campaigns for local, regional, and corporate levels.
  • Develop marketing and engagement plans, implementing standardized workflows for projects, contests, events, and organizational policies.
  • Assign work related to digital news, external clients, and Sinclair Broadcast Group to ensure consistent project delivery and support across teams.
  • Oversee a multi-station marketing budget and develop media plans for the region, ensuring resource allocation supports creative content development and campaign execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience overseeing commercial, digital, and creative content development.
  • Experience in leading branding content initiatives and lifestyle programming, with a strong understanding of community engagement.
  • Very strong communication skills and ability to negotiate priorities and strategies across multiple markets and management teams.
  • Experience working closely with News Directors, Regional News Directors, Sales Director, Regional General Managers, and station General Managers.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple stations successfully and efficiently at one time.
  • Organized and able to analyze trends and data to make informed marketing decisions.
  • Able to lead writing and producing of creative and commercial content.
  • Proven ability to mentor and grow content creators.
  • Ability to work proficiently and effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize trends in marketing and technology and apply them to a successful strategy for internal and external clients.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and research to determine the best way to apply to current and future marketing strategies.
