About the position

The Creative Services Director at KCCI, a leading CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, is responsible for bringing the station's brand to life through impactful, research-driven marketing campaigns across various platforms. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage a creative team, oversee production, and implement strategies to enhance brand awareness and ratings. The position involves collaboration with multiple departments and community partners to ensure the station's messaging resonates with its audience.

Responsibilities

• Create, lead, and implement the brand marketing of KCCI and its digital platforms.
• Manage production of compelling image, sweeps, and special event campaigns for all platforms.
• Identify dynamic multi-platform strategies to increase brand awareness and ratings.
• Oversee the creative team in producing brand-targeted station/news/weather images and special reports.
• Oversee the Commercial Production team to create marketing for local advertisers.
• Provide inspiration and strategic direction to grow the skillset of the creative team.
• Produce and post targeted social media marketing.
• Collaborate and execute dynamic outside media advertising efforts.
• Liaison with network, syndicators, and community partners regarding promotional activities.
• Manage television promotional inventory on KCCI and its digital platforms.
• Develop and monitor the annual department budget and expenses.

Requirements

• 3+ years in station marketing/promotion/brand management
• Strong creative writing skills and ability to use research to meet station goals
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, videography, photography, Wide Orbit, and ENPS
• Ability to conceive and critique creative concepts and graphic designs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with news staff and interdepartmental personnel
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Relevant college degree preferred or equivalent work experience, including military training from DINFOS.
