About the position

KCCI, the leading CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking a Creative Services Director to lead and implement brand marketing strategies that connect the station's brand to its audience across various platforms. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage a creative team and produce impactful campaigns that enhance the station's visibility and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Create, lead, and implement the brand marketing of KCCI and its digital platforms.
• Manage production of compelling image, sweeps, and special event campaigns for all platforms.
• Identify dynamic multi-platform strategies to increase brand awareness and ratings.
• Oversee the creative team in producing brand-targeted station/news/weather images and special reports.
• Oversee the Commercial Production team to create marketing for local advertisers.
• Provide inspiration and strategic direction to grow the creative team's skillset.
• Produce and post targeted social media marketing.
• Collaborate and execute outside media advertising efforts.
• Liaison with network and community partners regarding promotional activities.
• Attend community functions or meetings.
• Manage television promotional inventory across various platforms.
• Develop and monitor the annual department budget and expenses.

Requirements

• 3+ years in station marketing/promotion/brand management
• Strong creative writing skills and ability to use research to meet station goals
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, videography, photography, Wide Orbit, and ENPS
• Ability to conceive and critique creative concepts and graphic designs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with news staff and interdepartmental personnel
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Relevant college degree preferred or equivalent work experience, including military training from DINFOS.
