About the position

The Creative Services Writer/Videographer/Editor at WNDU is responsible for creating strategic content that enhances the station's brand and engages audiences. This role involves collaboration with sales and creative teams to produce commercials, digital videos, and promotional campaigns, utilizing strong skills in videography, writing, and editing. The position offers an opportunity for growth in a positive and energetic environment, ideal for a passionate content creator or news professional.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Sales and Creative teams to write, shoot, design, and edit commercials and digital media for WNDU clients.
• Writing, shooting, and editing daily news topicals.
• Contributing to the development of station image promotion campaigns for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Assisting with station community events.

Requirements

• Preferred: College degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop; experience with Grass Valley Edius is a plus.
• Proficient in shooting with DSLRs and professional-grade video cameras.
• Strong skills in writing, shooting, and editing strategic content that drives action.
• Experience in engaging social media audiences.
• FAA Drone Certification is a plus; WNDU offers training and certification if necessary.
• Voiceover experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company policies.
