About the position

The Creative Social Media Manager & Content Creator at Liberty University will play a vital role in enhancing the digital presence of the Office of Spiritual Development (OSD). This position involves collaborating with the Creative Director to produce a variety of media assets, including photos, videos, graphics, and digital content, aimed at engaging the university community and promoting OSD initiatives. The role requires a strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all OSD social media platforms, including ideating, writing, developing, scheduling, and posting content.
  • Define and implement measurable strategies and campaigns to meet digital presence objectives.
  • Create a digital marketing plan and social media strategy, identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop video assets and content for Convocation and Campus Community guests.
  • Create digital assets for LED surfaces during Convocation, Campus Community, and Liberty Worship Collective sets.
  • Develop digital and print assets for LU Stages, LU Shepherd, LU Serve, LU Send, and Liberty Worship Collective.
  • Support Videographers and Content Creators with digital graphic assets as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects within project specifications, deadlines, and budget restrictions.
  • Stay up-to-date with current cultural trends and industry creative tools, ideating new initiatives and content that connects with the target audience.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in Digital Media, Cinematic Arts, Graphic Design, Strategic Communication, Marketing, or similar preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe programs such as Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong graphic design experience with an understanding of design principles, design theory, and print vs digital output.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years in a professional Graphic Designer, Videographer, Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, or other creative position.
