The Creative Technical Writer - II / Communications Specialist position is a hybrid role based in Rolling Meadows, IL, requiring in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Connect Revenue Operations organization in maximizing profitability while enhancing customer and employee experiences through the implementation of industry-leading tools and processes. The team is structured into four distinct functions: Systems Architecture, Portfolio Management, Programmatic Vendor Management, and Strategic Communications. As a Documentation Specialist, the individual will be responsible for creating and updating technical documents, including manuals and product descriptions. This involves reading technical specifications, collaborating with subject matter experts, and utilizing interim software products to grasp complex features. The role requires participation in research and interviews to gather product details, as well as adherence to templates and style guides for document creation. The Documentation Specialist will also create simple diagrams and capture screenshots, ensuring that all content is accurate and up-to-date. In addition to documentation, the role includes the creation of scripts for testing organizations, ensuring that regression testing scripts are current, and collaborating with Global Technical Solutions to develop acceptance testing for new program releases. The Documentation Specialist will also be tasked with developing and implementing messaging and collateral aimed at influencing various target audiences, including employees, consumers, and investors. This documentation will cover all Sales, GCS, and Sales Operations processes, facilitating a clear understanding and efficient workflows for over 1200 Sellers and 200 Success Managers. The position also involves the curation of technical documentation, including end-to-end process documentation for Sales users across all segments and geographies, as well as holistic documentation of systems and tools, which includes business cases, utilization, ROI, and standards of the Sales and Sales Operations technology stacks. The Documentation Specialist will identify and catalog defects in current sales processes, providing insights to executive leadership for meaningful solutions. Furthermore, the role requires program management to ensure standard business practices across functional groups, engaging Business Intelligence as necessary to enhance visibility into Sales and Sales Operations efficacy.
