About the position

The Worship/Creative Director at First Nazarene Church is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing the church's worship experiences and community outreach. This position involves leading weekend services, overseeing the worship planning process, and managing the Worship Team to foster a vibrant church environment that welcomes and disciples individuals at various faith stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend services to help all people know God and serve others.
• Lead the worship planning process to create, plan, and implement worship experiences.
• Oversee recruiting, training, onboarding, scheduling, development, and care of the Worship Team.
• Work closely with the online and tech leader to implement and ensure excellence in worship services.
• Participate in staff meetings, denominational activities/meetings, and Irresistible Church Network activities as directed by the Lead Pastor.
• Support other First Naz ministry areas as needed.
• Participate in weddings, funerals, and other functions as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to lead well vocally.
• Strong verbal communication skills and comfort speaking on stage.
• Creative planning skills to develop worship services centered around the Lead Pastor's big idea.
• Proven leadership skills to manage and inspire the Worship Team.
• Strong creative, musical, and vocal talent.
• Proven administration and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in training and developing volunteers.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.
