About the position

The Creative Writer - Audio Content role focuses on crafting engaging promotional content for a leading audio OTT platform. This position involves writing for various audio formats, including podcasts and audiobooks, with the goal of enhancing audience engagement and driving business growth through data-driven strategies. The writer will collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure promotional materials resonate with target audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging promos for new and existing content to drive app installations.
  • Utilize pop culture references to create compelling promotional content.
  • Create short summaries and snippets from content on platforms like YouTube.
  • Develop scripts for video promos and trailers that effectively communicate messages.
  • Interpret ad performance data to understand user behavior and optimize scripts accordingly.
  • Report to the Creative Lead and communicate updates within defined timelines.
  • Maintain records of work according to process templates.
  • Participate in promo production testing, providing feedback on voice overs and visuals.
  • Conduct market research to understand audience preferences and trends.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and creative techniques.

Requirements

  • Experience in copywriting, script writing, copy editing, or promo writing, particularly in experimental environments.
  • Backgrounds in digital tabloid, entertainment/magazine copywriting, YouTube content creation, digital marketing, investigative journalism, or gaming writing are ideal.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of creative processes and evaluation of creative content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for articulating insights and recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of market trends, audience behavior, and competitor activity.
  • Ability to track creative content performance using tools like Facebook Ads Manager.
