About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position is designed for individuals who have a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of taxation. As a Tax Expert, you will be responsible for assisting customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products. This includes providing tax advice, full-service return preparation, tax calculations, and managing product/software inquiries. You will work towards advancing Intuit's goal of "Powering Prosperity Around the World" by utilizing government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers in everyday language. This role is entirely virtual, allowing you to collaborate with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. You will interact with customers through state-of-the-art video communication software, ensuring a professional, friendly, and confident demeanor throughout your interactions. Additionally, you will document these interactions to maintain accurate records, contributing to a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Interact with customers through video communication software in a professional manner.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using commercial tax preparation software.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
