About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position is designed for individuals who have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and hold an unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney. As a Tax Expert, you will be responsible for assisting clients in navigating the complexities of taxation, ensuring they receive the best possible service while preparing their taxes. You will work remotely, allowing you to collaborate with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of paid experience in filing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns, utilizing commercial tax preparation software. You will engage with customers through video and audio tools, providing tax advice, full-service return preparation, and managing product inquiries. Your goal will be to enhance the Intuit brand by delighting customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes effectively. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and utilize various resources to deliver the right answers to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate information to customers.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.
• Engage with customers through video and audio tools in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential (EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney) with strong tax preparation experience.
• Extensive knowledge of tax laws and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers confidently.
