About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position is designed for individuals who have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and hold an unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney. As a Tax Expert, you will be responsible for assisting clients in navigating the complexities of taxation, ensuring they receive the best possible service while preparing their taxes. You will work remotely, allowing you to collaborate with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of paid experience in filing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns, utilizing commercial tax preparation software. You will be expected to provide tax advice, full-service return preparation, and manage product/software inquiries, all while maintaining a high level of customer service. Your interactions with clients will be conducted through state-of-the-art video communication software, and you will document these interactions to maintain accurate records. This position offers the opportunity to earn supplemental income while helping individuals with their tax needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential (EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney) with strong tax preparation experience.
• Extensive knowledge of tax laws and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools.
