About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely, allowing you to collaborate with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. As a Tax Expert, you will be responsible for assisting clients in navigating the complexities of taxation, providing tax advice, full service return preparation, and managing product/software inquiries. You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers in a clear and understandable manner. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns, using commercial tax preparation software. You will interact with customers through video and audio tools, ensuring a professional, friendly, and confident demeanor throughout the process. Your commitment to enhancing the Intuit brand by delighting customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes is essential to this role.

Responsibilities

• Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document interactions to maintain accurate records of customer communications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills.
