About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely, allowing you to collaborate with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. As a Tax Expert, you will be responsible for assisting clients in navigating the complexities of taxation, providing tax advice, full-service return preparation, and managing product/software inquiries. You will utilize Intuit TurboTax products to help customers complete their taxes, ensuring they receive the best possible service and support. Your role will involve using government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customer inquiries in a clear and understandable manner. This is a virtual, customer-facing role, where you will interact with clients through state-of-the-art video communication software, documenting all interactions to maintain accurate records. You will be expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, providing flexibility while earning supplemental income by helping individuals with their tax needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Manage product/software inquiries from customers.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customer questions.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.
• Interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional and friendly manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills.
