Responsibilities

• Professional client communication and education
• Obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Performing laboratory procedures including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Conducting diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols
• Nursing skills including restraining patients and administering medications (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM)
• Applying and maintaining bandages
• Proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture
• Surgery preparation and anesthesia monitoring
• Performing dental prophylaxis

Requirements

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT)
• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
• Experience in blood sampling and medication administration
• Proficiency in animal catheterization and venipuncture
• Strong communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in mid-level IV insertion
