About the position

The Credentialing Network Assistant at Banner Health plays a vital role in managing external site audit coordination and collaborating with various partners to ensure timely completion of audits. This position involves updating systems, tracking applications, managing deadlines, and facilitating credentialing committee meetings, all while working remotely during Arizona business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Manage external site audit coordination and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather necessary documentation.
  • Update systems and track applications related to credentialing.
  • Facilitate credentialing committee meetings, including preparing documentation and agendas.
  • Review and audit documents for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Maintain confidential records and ensure timely entry of documentation into departmental applications.
  • Prepare and distribute various reports as directed by the supervisor.
  • Conduct internal team audits and report findings monthly.
  • Oversee the credentialing appeals process.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for outside entities such as delegated health plans and community providers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and 3-5 years of credentialing and/or process management experience in a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare processes.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with common office software, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
