About the position

The Credentialing Specialist Associate is responsible for managing the enrollment forms and activities related to the credentialing and maintenance of status for Ground Operations with Medicare, Medicaid, and other entities. This role ensures compliance with Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) guidelines and maintains accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete all paper and electronic forms for government payors as assigned.
  • Accurately complete all contracting credentialing requests as assigned.
  • Gather licensing and other requested documentation from Operations, Legal and Compliance departments.
  • Manage and track all work in company provided software.
  • Maintain confidentiality and update company information as necessary.
  • Assist in collecting data and creating/maintaining reports as necessary.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One-year previous related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Computer skills to ensure proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
  • Typing ability of at least 40WPM.
  • Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Organized, and meticulous with excellent follow through abilities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with shifting daily priorities.
  • Meet deadlines working within tight time constraints.
  • Proficient in medical and legal terminology.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and written.
  • General office equipment skills needed (fax, copy, multi-line phone, etc.).
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate well with team members.
