About the position

The Credentials and Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in the Human Resources team at Shared Medical Services, focusing on maintaining employee credential files and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires. This position ensures that all team members meet necessary job-specific licenses and certifications, as well as medical and training requirements, contributing to the overall compliance and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain employee credential files
• Assist Talent Acquisition team with new hire onboarding and orientation
• Process credential requests from customers and field managers
• Review and track payment of invoices related to credentials
• Assist HR team, as well as Safety department, with additional projects and tasks as needed

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a highly detailed administrative role, preferably in healthcare credentialing, safety/compliance, contract compliance or legal department
• Knowledge of office procedures, methods and equipment including computers and applicable software applications, including databases; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Assertive yet friendly/professional/collaborative verbal and written communication skills with individuals at all levels
• Excellent and professional customer service skills
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work with multiple team members and communicate professionally and effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
