About the position

The Credit Analyst II at Busey Bank plays a crucial role in providing accurate and timely credit analysis to support portfolio management and new business development. This position involves evaluating financial data to assess and minimize credit risk, preparing credit approval requests, and assisting with portfolio management duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial statement spreading and analysis, including calculation of Debt Service Coverage or Fixed Charge Coverage Ratios.
• Use financial data to determine and minimize the overall risk of extending credit to businesses and individuals.
• Conduct file reviews of assigned requests to ensure complete information and communicate with the loan team regarding any missing information or concerns.
• Prepare clear and concise Commercial Credit Approval Request (CCAR) memos with pertinent information on the overall risk of the loan.
• Evaluate collateral, industry data, and other relevant credit information.
• Assist with portfolio management duties, including testing financial covenants and monitoring monthly borrowing base reports.
• Prepare opportunity memos for new and existing relationships in collaboration with Commercial Relationship Managers.
• Develop a working knowledge of the Commercial Banking Loan Policy and systems, including nCino.
• Assist with other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business or Finance.
• 2 - 3 or more years of Commercial Credit experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of financial accounting.
