About the position

The Credit Analyst II position at Seagate Technology involves analyzing credit risks and managing credit lines for customers globally. The role requires collaboration with various departments to secure customer data, perform financial analysis, and provide recommendations to management. The analyst will also monitor economic conditions, identify risks and opportunities, and enforce credit policies while supporting the collection team and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with relevant departments to secure customer data and financial statements
  • Provide effective credit analysis for new and existing customers and evaluate the degree of credit risk associated with the credit line proposed or assigned
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations to assist decision making by management
  • Create ad-hoc analysis reports, executive summaries, and regular reports to aid management decision making
  • Monitor and analyze key AMER, EMEA and APAC economies
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within the WW customer portfolio
  • Perform cash flow analysis and create customer forecasts
  • Conduct research and conceptualize new techniques, ideas, and solutions for a variety of credit challenges
  • Provide relevant departments with critical updates on the financial condition of their customers
  • Coordinate and facilitate global credit and collections efforts and maintain close communication within the credit and collections team
  • Enforce credit policies and procedures, maintain and update desktop procedures, and assist with SOX controls and compliance procedures

Requirements

  • Experience in a credit analysis function or quantitative experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects with varying degrees of supervision

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with SAP system
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in Chinese
  • Experience working in larger scale corporations with a global presence
  • Experience in developing mathematical and statistical models
  • Knowledge in analysis of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and industry/market credit research
