About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
  • 7-9 years of banking experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience with financial spread software required.
  • Commercial banking experience preferred.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to assist in credit risk decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with financial spread software is preferred.
  • Commercial banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to gather and evaluate commercial credit information.
  • Prepare written reports of analysis including financial statements, cash flow projections, and risk assessments.
  • Analyze credit worthiness of commercial applicants and guarantors by reviewing loan applications and financial statements.
  • Calculate cash flows, leverage, and liquidity ratios, and evaluate collateral.
  • Conduct research on borrowers and key industries to identify risks.
  • Author comprehensive reports using data analysis and written narratives.
  • Evaluate credit quality and suggest proper risk ratings based on financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and FIB credit policy requirements.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in preparing reports for quarterly monitoring of commercial relationships.
  • Complete financial performance metric covenant testing using prepared financial spreads.
  • Participate in quality control programs and provide feedback and mentoring.
  • Develop training materials and assist in delivering training to lower-level analysts.
  • Act as a resource for Relationship Managers and other analysts regarding loan policy and underwriting recommendations.
