About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing credit data and financial statements of individuals or companies to determine the risk involved in lending money or extending credit. This role requires a strong understanding of technical accounting principles, financial analysis, and cash flow analysis, along with excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and credit reports to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to assess the financial stability of borrowers.
• Monitor existing portfolios for risk management and fraud prevention detection.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on credit findings for management review.
• Collaborate with the banking team to negotiate terms of credit agreements.
• Utilize financial modeling techniques to forecast potential risks and returns.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit analysis.
• Use financial software tools to streamline data analysis and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in technical accounting, financial analysis, or portfolio management is advantageous.
• Strong mathematical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Familiarity with fraud prevention detection methods is a plus.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and experience with relevant financial software is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration within the team.
