About the position

At Exeter Finance, we are committed to helping customers find the right financing for their next vehicle purchase. The Credit Analyst I plays a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of dealers. This position requires understanding dealer preferences and efficiently restructuring loan offers to increase the capture of deals. The Credit Analyst I will drive results in a dynamic work environment by securing quality loans and partnering with sales, funding, and other internal departments. The responsibilities include selling the company program and negotiating contracts while executing the company's origination strategy. The analyst will utilize their experience and dealer relationships to ensure that the assigned territory meets or exceeds pricing targets, variances, and volume goals. Maintaining top dealer satisfaction levels is essential, as is reviewing credit to ensure compliance with Exeter's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. The analyst will also educate dealers on Exeter's program and funding requirements to maximize production and ensure optimal funding turnaround time. Ensuring cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency within the company is also a key responsibility. This position is integral to the success of Exeter Finance, as every team member contributes to the overall mission of providing excellent service and support to customers and dealer partners. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of dealers.
  • Understand dealer preferences and restructure loan offers to increase deal capture.
  • Sell company program and negotiate contracts while executing the company's origination strategy.
  • Utilize experience and dealer relationships to meet or exceed pricing targets, variances, and volume goals.
  • Develop and maintain top dealer satisfaction levels.
  • Review credit to ensure compliance with Exeter's policies & procedures, state & federal regulations.
  • Make appropriate credit decisions or obtain concurrence on pricing, program, and policy exceptions.
  • Educate dealers on Exeter's program and funding requirements to maximize production.
  • Ensure office cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
  • Previous auto finance lending experience preferred.
  • Previous Originations and/or Sales experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of credit bureau information and indirect lending procedures.
  • Understanding of lending terminology, credit laws, and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of auto dealer operations and finance departments.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide strong customer service.
  • Superior work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and self-motivate.
  • Friendly attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
