About the position

The Credit Analyst position at National Capital Bank is a full-time role focused on ensuring sound loan quality and delivering exceptional service through financial analysis and underwriting. Responsibilities

• Completes and presents business loan presentations (BLP) for new commercial credit requests and renewals.
• Prepares financial spreadsheets, reports, and summaries for senior management and sales teams.
• Reports covenant violations and findings that may adversely affect loans.
• Reviews loan file documentation to ensure sufficiency for financial analyses.
• Performs departmental support duties, including drafting loan committee meeting minutes.

Requirements

• One to three years of experience as a credit analyst or in underwriting commercial loans at a lending institution.
• Proficiency with advanced Excel formulas and analysis.
• Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present complex analyses clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at a community or smaller regional bank, particularly with C&I and CRE loans.
• A college degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
