About the position

Trustar Bank is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join their Credit and Lending Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to independently gather and analyze business and financial records to assess customer credit and risks associated with commercial loans. The analyst will make determinations and recommendations on credit decisions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-credit discussions and analyze initial credit requests.
• Develop and perform information needs assessments to identify necessary documents for credit and risk review.
• Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other business records; prepare projections and perform sensitivity analyses.
• Conduct credit, financial, and industry analysis for loan structuring.
• Identify and evaluate risks, making recommendations on credit risk grades.
• Monitor borrowing base/covenant compliance and approve advance requests on Line of Credit.
• Partner with loan officers to maintain and collect loan documentation and financial information from customers.
• Order and review property appraisals to evaluate collateral value for transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience in commercial and real estate credit analysis.
• Thorough understanding of financial accounting, loan structuring, legal, compliance, and market risk issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
