About the position

The Credit Analyst at U.S. Bank plays a crucial role in supporting Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers by managing an assigned portfolio of customer relationships. This position involves overseeing financial statement analysis, monitoring credit quality, and assisting in the preparation of credit requests for approval. The role is designed for individuals who are analytical and possess strong communication skills, enabling them to effectively analyze financial data and present findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and consistent financial statement spreads and quarterly trend analyses.
• Prepare comprehensive written analyses of financial data.
• Analyze portfolio credit quality and assist with industry sector reviews.
• Assist Portfolio Managers in preparing and presenting credit requests for Credit Approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of experience in a finance/analytical related role.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance.
• Effective analytical and technical report writing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently performing financial analyses.
• Ability to execute straightforward credit requests for existing clients.
