About the position

The Credit Analyst at CFSBank is responsible for conducting financial risk analysis related to the bank's lending program. This role involves assessing credit requests, analyzing financial statements, and providing recommendations based on credit risk assessments. The analyst will present findings to management and ensure compliance with lending protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing, and annual due diligence.
• Provide recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk.
• Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to managers, especially findings that involve a borrower's ability to repay.
• Keep up to date with the company's lending protocols.
• Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances.
• Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of underwriting and risk analysis.
• Proficient in financial analysis and cash flow analysis.
• Experience with financial modeling and credit analysis.
• Excellent writing skills for financial report preparation.
• Knowledge of financial services and banking operations.
• Familiarity with loan origination and processing.
• Ability to conduct quantitative research and fraud detection.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in credit analysis.
