About the position

The Credit Analyst at U.S. Bank plays a crucial role in supporting Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers by managing an assigned portfolio of customer relationships. This position involves overseeing financial statement analysis, monitoring credit quality, and assisting in the preparation of credit requests, all while ensuring compliance with bank standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing accurate and consistent financial statement spreads and quarterly trend analyses.
• Preparing quarterly monitoring reports and conducting covenant tests in accordance with bank spreading standards and credit policies.
• Analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive written analyses.
• Analyzing portfolio credit quality and assisting with industry sector reviews.
• Assisting Portfolio Managers in preparing and presenting credit requests for Credit Approval.
• Maintaining a compliance monitoring and financial statistic database that tracks credit agreement requirements and customer financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Up to one year of experience in a finance/analytical related role.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance with the ability to apply knowledge in those areas.
• Effective analytical and technical report writing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
