About the position

The Commercial Credit Analyst will support lenders in underwriting credit requests for commercial clients. This role involves performing detailed financial analyses, preparing credit approval requests, and ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policies. The analyst will also conduct annual credit reviews and maintain current financial reporting for clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and agency reports on borrowing accounts and prepare written evaluations of their prospects.
• Make recommendations to Loan Officers regarding loan approvals or denials and prepare necessary documentation.
• Identify and interpret trends in financial data and key financial ratios.
• Document all financial analyses thoroughly using spreadsheets and written memorandums.
• Suggest loan grades based on comprehensive credit analysis and documentation review.
• Coordinate work tasks within the department to ensure efficient information flow.
• Provide assigned reports and perform annual reviews of loan relationships.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst in a bank.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed financial reports and documentation.
