About the position

The Credit Analyst or Senior Credit Analyst position at Western Ag Credit involves preparing financial analyses, credit memos, and monitoring loans across the Association. The role requires collaboration with account managers to develop loan structures, validate financial information, and conduct industry-specific research to ensure accurate reporting and loan classifications. This position is essential for maintaining the financial integrity of the lending process within the agricultural sector.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis and credit memos for loan monitoring.
• Develop realistic loan structures in consultation with account managers.
• Monitor loan performance and validate financial information used in credit decisions.
• Conduct industry-specific research to validate key financial metrics.
• Ensure accuracy in reporting financial analysis and loan classifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with emphasis in accounting, agriculture, or business required.
• Minimum of three years of agricultural credit, accounting, or related agricultural financial reporting experience preferred.
• Understanding of financial accounting and financial statements, including complex consolidations and tax return analysis.
• Working knowledge of Farm Credit regulations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of agriculture, accounting, business law, and economics.
• Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Skills in planning and organization.
• Self-motivated with a good work ethic.
• Ability to exercise initiative and judgment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other common software.
