About the position

East West Bank is currently seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Entertainment Banking Group. This position is crucial as the Credit Analyst will collaborate closely with the team's Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to perform due diligence, underwrite new credit facilities, and monitor and maintain the loan portfolio. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data to assess the merits of loan requests, recommending appropriate credit structures, and identifying cross-selling and referral opportunities for other bank products and services. In this role, the Credit Analyst will prepare credit memorandums for senior management, providing comprehensive analysis for both prospective and existing clients. This includes assisting with portfolio management, which involves reporting, monitoring, and updating internal reports and compliance programs. The Credit Analyst will also support senior officers in all aspects of underwriting and closing deals, as well as managing existing relationships. Additionally, the analyst will respond to client requests from private equity firms and complete special projects as needed for other team members and senior management. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, preferably with a degree in entertainment finance, and will possess the ability to work within set timelines while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or concentration in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Current college senior or recent graduate with 2-4 years of experience, ideally with credit training or experience in financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work within set timelines while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
