About the position

The Credit and Collections Analyst role at Builders FirstSource involves managing credit and collection activities across assigned locations. The position focuses on implementing company policies related to credit and collections, handling delinquent accounts, and assessing credit risks associated with customers and suppliers. This is an onsite position located in Surprise, AZ, aimed at contributing to the company's mission of transforming home building and making home ownership more achievable.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to company credit/collection policies, practices, and procedures across one or multiple geographic areas.
• Recommend and/or approve decisions regarding adjustments to customer accounts and referral of overdue accounts for legal action.
• Coordinate area collection decisions with management teams and sales departments.
• Manage delinquent customer receivables, negotiate special customer payment plans, and participate in the development of financial packages.
• Monitor credit activity including monthly review of large accounts and compliance with credit policies, lien laws, and sales tax laws.
• Work closely with Credit Management and field leadership to resolve difficult collection cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• At least two (2) years of credit and collections experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
