The Credit Card Acquisition Risk Strategy Manager plays a crucial role in the quantitative development and monitoring of Huntington's consumer card credit strategies aimed at acquiring new accounts. This position is responsible for formulating strategies related to initial customer and prospect targeting, account approvals, and the assignment of initial credit lines. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that the ongoing credit mix for new accounts aligns with established loss and risk-adjusted return portfolio targets. The manager will oversee all aspects of consumer credit card new account origination credit strategies, which includes strategy development, segment-level reporting, and managing changes effectively. In this role, the manager will lead the development of quantitative analyses that aim to enhance Huntington's credit card loss and risk-adjusted return outcomes. This encompasses the planning, execution, presentation, implementation, monitoring, and redevelopment phases of credit strategies. The manager will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of champion-challenger tests across various approval and line assignment strategies, ensuring regular reporting of results to senior management. Continuous interaction with key business partners is essential to advance business priorities, which include collaboration with Credit Administration, Underwriting, Fraud, Model Risk Management, Product, and Legal/Compliance teams. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines. The manager will also need to maintain a customer service orientation, ensuring that both internal and external customers are well-supported throughout the process.
