About the position

The Credit/Collections Analyst will be responsible for managing delinquent customer accounts within an assigned credit portfolio, ensuring effective collection processes while providing excellent customer service. This role involves making informed decisions regarding order releases and account credit holds, as well as collaborating with branches and the sales force to address account issues.

Responsibilities

  • Collect on all delinquent customer accounts within assigned credit portfolio
  • Process customer payments, adjustments, refunds, and resolve discrepancies
  • Make sound and consistent decisions regarding order releases and account credit holds
  • Identify accounts needing adjustment to their credit limit
  • Work closely with branches and sales force in communicating account issues

Requirements

  • Three or more years of credit collections experience
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated skills to multi-task in a high-paced environment
  • Ability to make sound and consistent decisions based on all facts
  • Capable of identifying and completing critical tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Firm decision maker, but understanding of customer retention
