About the position

The Credit Manager is responsible for managing customer credit applications, conducting credit investigations, and overseeing the collection of delinquent accounts. This role involves approving or declining credit lines, processing payments, and ensuring effective communication with customers regarding their accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Approve or decline and issue lines of credit to customers.
  • Conduct credit investigations on potential customers.
  • Contact customers with delinquent accounts and follow proper collections procedures.
  • Process credit applications in-store or over the phone.
  • Take payments on accounts and type sales contracts.
  • Conduct daily collection calls to customers with payments due or past due accounts, including home visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic reading, numerical reasoning, and comprehension skills.
  • Great listening ability.
  • Good telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to work a variable hour schedule.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
