About the position

The Credit Operations Fulfillment Specialist III at Truist Bank is responsible for a variety of activities that support the origination, booking, modification, servicing, and subordinations of retail consumer and small business purpose loans. These loans are originated through various channels, including the Community Bank, Wealth Division, Premier, Team Mate Banking, and Electronic Delivery Channels, all within a centralized environment. This role requires a strong understanding of retail, small business, and wealth management products, policies, and processes, as well as compliance, legal, and documentation requirements specific to state laws. In this position, the specialist will coordinate activities relevant to Wealth, Premier, Small Business, and Retail loan requests. This includes maintaining positive working relationships with external and internal clients, attorneys, settlement agents, insurance agents, vendors, and other internal partners. The specialist will independently manage a pipeline of diverse loan requests, which may include new loan origination requests, modifications, servicing, subordination, collateral releases, and easements involving various collateral types such as Securities, Real Estate (1-4 Family and Commercial), Marine, Auto, Boat/Motor/Trailer, CD/Savings, and Unsecured loans. The role also involves gathering, analyzing, reviewing, and approving essential documentation such as Title reports, Hazard Insurance, Flood Insurance, Appraisals, and complex income verification to ensure adherence to policies. The specialist will prepare documentation for closing packages, audit pre-closing and executed loan packages, and assist less experienced associates through mentoring and resolving escalated issues. Meeting or exceeding monthly production and quality performance metrics is also a key responsibility of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities relevant to Wealth, Premier, Small Business, and Retail loan requests.

  • Gather, analyze, review, and approve Title reports, Hazard Insurance, Flood Insurance, Appraisals, and complex income verification.
  • Review and approve Power of Attorney and Trust documentation to ensure compliance with legal and policy guidelines.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of retail, small business, and wealth management products, policies, and processes.
  • Prepare documentation for closing packages including promissory notes, security agreements, and funding information.
  • Audit pre-closing and executed loan packages to ensure compliance with lending policy guidelines.
  • Assist less experienced associates through mentoring and resolving escalated issues.
  • Meet or exceed monthly production and quality performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in relevant studies or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of banking or financial services experience in lending.
  • Experience in reviewing, approving, and preparing loan documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and advocate for the client while balancing risk.
