About the position

The Credit Operations Senior Manager III - Business Process Manager at Truist is responsible for overseeing process and system enhancements to meet regulatory requirements. This role involves upskilling the team to enhance their capabilities for process improvements and analytics. The manager will be tasked with developing and implementing operational plans that align with legal and regulatory policies while effectively managing risks. The position requires managing a multi-site, multi-departmental team, ensuring that departmental procedures are executed in compliance with established guidelines. The manager will evaluate organizational efficiency and implement necessary changes to maximize productivity across the team. In this role, the manager will support various portfolios including Dealer Retail Services, Direct to Consumer, Small Business, Wealth, and Premier. Leadership and management oversight are crucial to achieving high-quality processing and performance results that align with corporate objectives and compliance standards. The manager will also be responsible for teammate development, making critical decisions regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, and other personnel matters within established policies. The position requires planning and developing departmental profit plans, ensuring compliance with budgetary goals, and providing management with monthly forecasts and trend analyses. The manager will oversee all aspects of planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities across multiple locations, including the creation and implementation of business recovery strategies and compliance measures. A focus on fostering a results-oriented team that continuously evaluates operations and implements strategies for improvement is essential. Additionally, the manager will oversee offshore teams to ensure their production and quality meet Truist's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support Dealer Retail Services, Direct to Consumer, Small Business, Wealth, and Premier portfolios.
  • Provide leadership and management oversight to achieve processing and performance results of the highest quality, in accordance with corporate objectives and compliance standards.
  • Direct and lead teammate development and engagement, making decisions regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, and promotions.
  • Plan and develop departmental profit plans, ensuring compliance with budgetary goals and providing monthly reforecasts and variance explanations to management.
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities at multiple assigned locations.
  • Create and implement business recovery and impact analysis strategies for critical Bank functions, including managing resources and communication strategies.
  • Ensure compliance and risk mitigation through review and application of policies and procedures that meet regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Foster a results-oriented team that evaluates existing operations and implements strategies for quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage risk for complex regulatory and compliance processes on behalf of the Community Bank.
  • Oversee offshore teams to ensure production, quality, and processes meet Truist standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Ten years of experience in banking and ten years of management experience.
  • Effective leadership skills that produce results through coaching and development of teammates.
  • Creative, flexible, decisive, and adaptable to changing business environments.
  • Strong analytical, planning, quality control, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, along with time and people management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of process and production management principles.
  • Ability to travel greater than 10%.
