The Credit Portfolio Analyst will play a crucial role in managing both single and multi-sector investment portfolios. This position involves building and maintaining comprehensive credit analysis documentation for existing holdings and potential buy candidates within Stifel Capital Management (SCM). The analyst will collaborate closely with trading desks to execute portfolio strategies under the guidance of the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). This role requires a solid understanding of capital markets, investment products, and their interrelationships, particularly in the fixed-income sector. The analyst will be responsible for establishing a systematic process to document published research from reputable sources such as Moody's, S&P, Fitch, and Credit Insights, focusing on issuers that SCM currently owns or is considering for investment. In addition to research documentation, the analyst will summarize findings on individual credits, sectors, and macroeconomic trends that are relevant to SCM's investment strategies. The role also involves managing investment portfolios for a diverse clientele, including high-net-worth individuals, institutions, endowments, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations, ensuring that the investment vehicles align with each client's specific policies and preferences. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is essential, as the analyst will need to respond to data requests and provide information to both internal and external clients, which may include delivering presentations.
