About the position

The Tableau Developer 2 (Credit Risk) is an individual contributor role responsible for delivering production responsibilities and executing projects for the Bank's portfolio reporting and analytics function. This position is crucial for driving insightful reporting through Tableau dashboards. The role involves creating and managing Tableau content, validating dashboard content using SQL queries, and interfacing with business customers in both development and support capacities. Additionally, responsibilities may include documentation, training business users, and the creation and maintenance of Tableau write-back extensions and Tableau extracts. The Tableau Developer 2 (Credit Risk) will have recurring production responsibilities as well as project or ad hoc duties, both of which require a high attention to detail. Success in this position hinges on the ability to demonstrate independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, decision-making capabilities, prioritization, a sense of urgency, quick turnaround, adaptability, and strong customer service skills. The role also demands on-time implementation and the ability to support diverse projects. A detailed understanding of banking concepts is essential, along with an aptitude for integrating efficiencies with technology and applications used to deliver information and reporting to customers within the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain critical portfolio management information and provide reports/operating performance metrics.
  • Create and manage Tableau content, ensuring high-quality dashboard execution.
  • Validate dashboard content using SQL queries to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Interface with business customers for development and support, addressing their reporting needs.
  • Document processes and provide training to business users on Tableau functionalities.
  • Create and maintain Tableau write-back extensions and Tableau extracts as needed.
  • Manage a pipeline of reporting and process-related projects, identifying and elevating roadblocks.
  • Utilize various DataMarts to assess business line performance, trends, KPIs, and leading indicators.
  • Communicate project statuses effectively to managers, team members, and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Statistics, MIS, or a comparable field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
  • 3-5+ years of technical experience with Tableau or other enterprise reporting tools.
  • Experience with ETL (SSIS), SQL, or other database-related skills preferred.
  • Expert-level skills with Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and Pivot Tables.
  • Completion of or advancement towards Tableau certification(s) preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with creating Tableau extensions preferred.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of technologies including Visual Studio and Management Studio.
  • Experience with data-prep tools like Tableau or Alteryx.
