About the position

The Credit Products Analyst - Counterparty Risk at Regions Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the credit and underwriting analysis team. This position involves providing analytical support for various client coverage groups, focusing on underwriting and analysis projects across multiple segments, including Home Builder Finance, Real Estate Corporate Banking, and more. The Analyst is responsible for developing financial models, conducting due diligence, and ensuring high-quality client deliverables, all while collaborating with internal teams to manage counterparty risk effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains detailed financial models to value companies and depict projected financial performance.
• Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of transactions.
• Ensures high quality of client deliverables through strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Prepares written materials, including pitches, proposals, and client materials with supporting analyses.
• Maintains proprietary databases by monitoring news, current events, transactions, and financial information for clients and prospects.
• Provides expert service with urgency in coordinating Credit Products associates and coverage bankers to align with client needs.
• Supports Credit Products Associates and Product Managers with servicing and portfolio management activities.
• Assumes substantial responsibility and works on multiple projects independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a proven record of high achievement.
• Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice-to-haves

• Specific knowledge of Life Insurance and P&C insurance is a plus.
