About the position

The Credit Products Flood Insurance Specialist at Regions is responsible for managing and validating flood insurance requirements in compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA). This role involves assessing flood due diligence for various banking events, ensuring accuracy and completeness in a fast-paced regulatory environment. The specialist serves as a key point of contact for flood insurance matters and collaborates with business associates to address related issues.

Responsibilities

• Manages and completes flood due diligence items in a timely and accurate manner
• Works with system of record to ensure accuracy
• Obtains and evaluates all relevant information used in completing Flood Zone Determinations
• Calculates and determines adequate flood insurance coverage requirements
• Validates proper life of loan monitoring is in place for correct client
• Acts as the main point of contact on flood insurance and coverage requirements
• Evaluates claim research performed in response to borrower submissions
• Serves as an emerging subject matter expert on flood regulations
• Establishes partnership with line of business associates and consults on issues related to flood regulations
• Conducts research of laws and regulation that impact the business

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Five (5) years of related loan documentation and processing experience
• Proficient knowledge of flood insurance requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience working with flood insurance in accordance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA)
