About the position

The Credit Research Analyst will join Lord Abbett's Global Credit Research Team, focusing on Loan-Only capital structures within the Consumer Sector. This role involves conducting detailed industry and company analysis, identifying investment opportunities, and making recommendations to portfolio managers. The analyst will also build financial models, communicate with issuer management, and analyze credit documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed industry and company fundamental analysis for Loan-Only capital structures within the Consumer Sector.
• Identify primary and secondary investment opportunities and make investment recommendations to portfolio managers across various mandates.
• Support ideas with rigorous analysis and publication of detailed investment recommendations.
• Build and maintain industry and company financial models.
• Communicate and develop relationships with issuer management teams, sell-side professionals, legal and restructuring professionals, and private equity sponsors.
• Analyze and help develop credit documents such as loan agreements, amendments, and security agreements.

Requirements

• 8-15 years of credit analysis experience covering fundamental industry trends and companies in the Consumer Sector.
• Prior experience should include analyzing leveraged loan structures and distressed situations.
• Excellent quantitative, communication, and investment management skills.
• Some buy-side experience working in a team-oriented environment is preferred.
• Experience with private credit, direct lending helpful.
• BA/BS degree required.
• MBA degree, CFA designation viewed positively, but not required.
