About the position

The Credit Review Audit Team Lead at Northwest Bank is responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of the bank's performance monitoring, internal controls, and risk management practices. This role involves analyzing credit review audits, assessing compliance with internal policies and regulations, and preparing detailed reports for management. The position requires a strong focus on risk assessment and portfolio management, ensuring that the bank adheres to its risk profile and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide objective evaluations of the Bank's performance monitoring and internal controls.
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor credit risk metrics (KRIs and KPIs).
• Assist in the preparation of reports for management use.
• Identify early signs of stress and potential credit weaknesses.
• Evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of the risk rating scorecard.
• Plan and execute credit audit approaches under supervision.
• Develop audit scope, objectives, and programs based on assessed risks.
• Ensure document and data integrity throughout the audit process.
• Present findings to department managers and auditors.
• Summarize results and appraise corrective actions taken.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 6-8 years of Credit Review related experience required.
• 5-6 years of Bank Auditing preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial/consumer credit and regulatory exam reports.
• Ability to apply advanced financial analysis techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Crowe Credit360, BancAudit/Nautilus/CBS/Data Analysis Tool/Audit Management Software.
• Self-learn and maintain knowledge of Northwest's Risk Appetite Policy and SOX internal control narratives.
